Information We Collect
CargoID Secure collects information necessary to provide secure shipment verification and user account services.
Information may include:
• Name
• Email address
• Mobile phone number
• Company affiliation
• User role and account-related information
CargoID Secure may also collect technical information necessary to operate, secure, and improve the platform, including device information, authentication records, usage logs, and location information when required for shipment verification and platform security.

Biometric Information
To verify driver identity and prevent freight theft, CargoID Secure uses a third-party identity verification vendor, Persona Identities, Inc. ("Persona"), to process a scan of a government-issued driver's license and a live facial photo.
CargoID Secure does not store your driver's license image or facial biometric data.Â
This information is collected and processed directly by Persona in accordance with Persona's Privacy Policy, and is retained by Persona for no more than three (3) years.Â

CargoID Secure receives and stores the result of this verification (such as aÂ
verification status and decision record) for as long as your CargoID Secure driverÂ
identity remains active, and for a limited period afterward as required to maintain
shipment records, audit trails, and legal compliance.

CargoID Secure will not sell, lease, trade, or otherwise profit from biometricÂ
information. Biometric information is used solely to verify identity and prevent fraud in connection with freight pickup and delivery.

CargoID Secure will permanently destroy biometric information in its possession, if any, when the purpose for its collection has been satisfied, or within three (3) years of a driver's last interaction with the platform, whichever occurs first.

Drivers may contact security@cargoidsecure.com to ask questions about biometric data handling or to request deletion of their account information, subject to applicable legal retention requirements.
Third-Party Service Providers
CargoID Secure may use trusted third-party service providers to support identity verification, authentication, messaging, fraud prevention, hosting, analytics, and platform operations. These providers may process information necessary to perform their services in accordance with their own privacy policies and applicable laws.

SMS Communications and Consent

Mobile phone numbers are provided to CargoID Secure by authorized organizations, including carriers, brokers, shippers, warehouses, and other approved business users of the platform. These organizations are responsible for obtaining consent from their employees, contractors, or authorized users before submitting a mobile phone number to CargoID Secure.
CargoID Secure may send account invitations, registration codes, verification messages, security notifications, and operational messages related to authorized use of the platform.
